How To Blog Like A Pro

I want to show you how to blog like a pro. As I wrestled with my next post on my blog here, I was really struggling to stay away from the normal and ordinary generic posts that most people like to blog about.

Sure things like link building and SEO are essential to learn, but how many how to blogdifferent ways can you really write something like this?

Being true to my last post on building a blog through commenting, I was bouncing off many different blogs as I usually do through the week. My eyes caught a post by Marcus Sheridan of TheSalesLion.Com, I noticed this guys approach to blogging.

How To Blog

There is really no secret to blogging. Most people really like to try to get a niche that they can relate to and a niche that they really know something about. I’m not going to go into the importance of niche blogging, but just know that when you know something about the topic, then your readers can benefit more from your blog.

Is there really any secret to learn how to blog? Some of the best bloggers will tell you that in order to write posts that will affect people, you have to commit to a certain quality of writing.

This is what sets the professional bloggers apart from the newbie’s. I have seen blogs that have been up and running for two years and they are still talking about the same old things. You have to integrate some differences in your writing as time goes by.

One of the best things I can tell you about learning how to blog like a pro is that your writing should gradually get better and better as time goes by. The more you learn about blogging, then the more in-depth and helpful your writing becomes.

Some Blog Tips For Writing:

  • Research- Unless you are just blogging for fun, you should never just jump on your blog and start writing.  I used to do this when I first started.  Being in the niche I was in, there was a lot that I didn’t know, however, I didn’t care!  Surf the net for what you’re writing about.  Get to know the subject!  It doesn’t even matter if you think you know everything there is to know about link building, research it.  There is always something new that you should be able to bring to the table.
  • Links or Mentions- Great blogs will mention other blog sites or bloggers that has something to do with the topic they are writing about.  This not only helps you with SEO, but it also informs that blogger that you have linked back to their article, and, if you’re lucky, you can establish a relationship.
  • Write Facts- There is nothing that turns me off more than a blogger that just writes what he/she thinks is write.  This goes hand in hand with research.  As long as you know something about what you are writing about, you will be ok.

How To Blog Like A Pro

how to blogIs it really as simple as setting up a blog and just start writing? In a way, I guess it is. Can anyone blog? Sure, but not everyone should!

Back to my story about Marcus.
This guy is a pro blogger and if anyone can show people how to blog it is him. As I scrolled through his site, I basically looked at his content. This is the very most important part of your blog.

As I read his posts I started wondering what makes his blog different than most I see. What makes his blog so successful? Of course, there is a lot of answers to this question, time being one of them. One thing that I always try to reassure my readers is that it takes time and consistency to learn how to blog like a pro.

Anyhow, I noticed a considerable difference in his writing. This is what sets pro bloggers apart from everyone else. Their content is superb. Their content is rich and helpful. Their content is soaked with answers to questions like creating a blogging audience really quickly.

The Differences in How To Blog-The “Pro’s” & “Con’s”

There are Pro’s like Marcus Sheridan, and then there are Con’s, or people that aren’t making the millions of dollars in blogging a year like you and me.

The Con’s get all the crap. They are confined to a certain area of the internet, jailed with all the other cons and looking for a way out!

The Pro’s, who used to be cons themselves, have figured out how to make the great escape, and, like Steve McQueen, jumps the Harley over the fence and get’s away! (Even though that’s not the way it ends, I like to pretend that this is what happened)…

If you want to learn how to blog like a pro, then focus on your content. It’s the only thing that is keeping you prisoner in that internet jail that you’re in right now.

Let’s face it, you are confined. You have no way out and you are lost, jailed with a sentence that only you can over-rule.

You can beat it with your content. Use the secrets of helping people. Stop trying to make money off of everyone, and focus on supporting your fellow blogger, informing a stranger about a cool fact that you just learned, etc.

In Conclusion:

Learning how to blog like a pro starts with a different mindset of your blog.  It starts with how you view your readers and how you can help them.  Do something different for a change!  Throw out the content lifeline and help someone who may be getting discouraged in their reading.  If you are consistent in doing this then it’s just a matter of time before you join the snobs at the top!

  6. I have said it before and I will say it again … Attraction Marketing always wins, hands down.

When you learn to be of value to others and provide information or something that can solve their problems you become the goto person or leader in their eyes. Learn to win the trust of your audience by practicing this in your blog posts. When you do you will see the difference in traffic, comments and affiliate commissions.

As always Wade, keep bringing the value to your followers and readers. You be da MAN!
